Advantages of Using Soy Candles
Soy candles are good for your home and the environment. The soy wax used by Lazy River is made from soy beans grown right here in the Midwest. The great thing about the soy wax is that it burns at a lower temperature and more evenly than regular wax. This means the wax will not get as hot as a regular candle. Soy wax is also non toxic, so it does not release dangerous chemicals. In many homes that burn lots of regular candles the build up of soot can become a visible build up on the walls and a potential heath risk.

The E.P.A. reports imported candles often have dangerous levels of lead and metals burned off in the wicks. In addition most candles made of paraffin (petro), both imported and those from the U.S., tested positive for toxins like formaldehyde, acrolein, and acetaldehyde and burn a petro by product. The worst part was that some candles can give off 100 times the soot of others. This soot has been documented as causing extensive damage to walls, ceilings, floors, and even people's personal property! Fortunately there is soy.
